No problem.... oh now don't get me wrong, I did not say all Offy's.. In fact the flathead mopar intake is just about the only one that was not up to snuff. I have an offy
manifold made for a 426 hemi that has a flow
above anything we ever got our hands on. I also know we tested an offy for a - excuse
my swearing here - a ford 427 and it was
unbelievable how much it outperformed
everything of its day.
But for the flathead 6 cylinder mopar. it
just wasn't the cream of the crop. Mind you it is the only dual still in production that I know of so if it is just pretty you want,
then it is it. If it is practical, performance etc, then get George Asche to
build you one or look for an edmunds or Pattersfield.
As far as I know it is one of the girls that
got the company, so I assume (but may be absolutely wrong here) that it was still
Offenhauser involvment, albiet a married and changed name.
