Again, in a case such as yours, the small welder is certainly not a good choice. For me though, I have no need for a heavy duty welder. The thickest steel I will most likely want to weld is patch panels on my M37, and other light duty items.

You mentioned welding up hitches to sell. I can see where a larger welder would do there. In my case, I too have ideas of using a welder to make things to sell. I someday can see myself using a welder to build a welded version of the bolt-together deer haul cart I made several years ago. This cart is made of thin walled tubing, and the small welder would more than suffice for that.
