1. These carbs do have a gold colored coating on the pot metal parts. It is not a paint, but I am not exactly sure what kind of coating it is though. I believe Todd Somers knows. I have a NOS E7S1 that has no coating on the iron throttle body. I believe these were never coated with anything.
2. No lubricant in the governor.
