Quite a few years ago, we got a rescue call to the school for a child with a broken arm.
He was in the nurses office laying there in great pain. Turns out it happened 4 hours prior and they had been trying to get his parents for instuctions. No teacher would lie there in pain, an immediate call for the ambulance would be made.
As a result, when my kids brought home the emergency forum each year when schoolk started, I would black out the area about trying to notify parents in the event of accident or sickness. I would write in, CALL THE RESCUE SQUAD IMMDIATELLY< DO NOT DELAY, then I added no notify us after he was provided 'proper care'. That kid just lieing there suffereing with the broken arm
brought my blood to a boil.
