I believe coarse threads were developed for use 1n castings only back when, for obvious reasons. On the early Ford parts that I reproduce, all of the hardware called for is fine thread, and some of it simply isn't available any more! I have to have fine thread square nuts manufactured especailly for my products now! Dave Maher
