Many insurance companies have legal staffs whose primary purpose is to find reasons to deny paying a claim. Having a policy with an incorrect vehicle description might be reason enough to deny payment.
I have also encountered an occasional police officer who might feel the incorrect description is a reason to hassle you.
Just my thoughts.
By the way, my former military vehicles are not required to have a license (registration)plate in Texas. I have not found one police officer or Justice of the Peace who knows the law on this one. I carry a print out of the law in the glove box with the registration papers.
