Not much snow in town yet, though last night the ice was so bad on Lookout Pass (I-90) that the Montana sand trucks couldn't get up the hill. Wrecks all over the place. Still only about 6" up in the high hills, but it looks like more heading this way. The good news is I finished up the season out at my cabin by finally firing up that old JD2010 backhoe/loader that I rebuilt the motor in last year (including grinding the crank out in the woods) and it ran good for the first time since I got it. Ran so good that I blew out a hydraulic hose. But anyway, next year I look forward to being able to dig holes and move dirt with something a little more high-tech than the old D4 cat.

By the way, your rigs sure look nice in that picture. Did you ever resolve the situation with the semi-sold PW? I still need to get my M37 over here to Wallace, but when I do I think I have a line on everything I need to make it good, including a good bed in trade for some HMMWV parts.

Mandatory political content: We'll survive and take care of what's important regardless of which spoiled rich boy thinks he's "our" president. And don't forget the local votes. Elect county commissioners who are willing to declare RS2477 roads. That's a lot more likely to succeed than arguing with the Forest Service bureacracy that seems to be out of the control of any elected administration.
