That's where I'm at too. Need just 10 more MPH cruising speed to keep from being a hazard on the highway. Could go the V8 route easy enough, but to me, figuring out a way to do it with the flathead would be a lot more fun. A combination of gearing, tires, and mebbe' a bit more snoose. R Davis's point is well taken. I've checked out lengthy discussions on volumetric efficiency, turbo mapping, and the like, and it's where the rubber meets the road as far as making HP is concerned. But, in the finest hot rodding tradition, when I stand there at the junk yard looking out across acres of turbochargers, I can't help but wonder, "What if...". The shot of that beautiful blown Chrysler Royal in a '34 Desoto in Hot Rod serves as my inspiration. 151 at Bonneville! Just curious if someone here has beat me to it.
