The way I see it most of the good economical PW parts are military surplus. The government got us use to these low cost parts, but then failed to have more surplus parts produced.

They also failed to meet our basic needs - like perfect windshield frames and seat bottoms. I think you will have to agree that the cost to society of people driving around with no seat bottoms or windshield frames is very high, in fact much higher than the cost of a government program to fill those needs.

Anyway, I think free enterprise is okay, but not compare to using someone elses tax dollars to supply me with Power Wagon parts.

The only thing I don't understand is why Kerry has failed to point out the incompetence of the Bush administration in addressing the needs of PW collectors for the basic necesities.
