It has been a long time since I last saw this film also. I have not tried to verify the information, but here is what I have been told:

The movie was filmed in Georgetown, Colorado. The POWER-WAGON in question was a municipal vehicle owned by the city and it was shown parked at the town hall in that scene. It had a mounted snowplow and was being used in the winter to clear city streets.

The POWER-WAGON was later sold to a local salvage yard where it was again used for snow removal. During a Rocky Mountain Power Wagon Rendezvous, the truck changed owners again. This time, to a collector friend of mine in Texas. The snowplow was removed from the truck (as there is not much annual snow fall in the Corpus Christi area) and put in storage for a few years. I bought the plow from Texas in 1997, restored it, and mounted it on my '47 WDX. According to old sales literature, the snowplow is a Good Roads model and dates from about 1949. Good Roads was a major supplier of municipal, county, and state use snowplows. This particular model was designed with a mounting system specific to the POWER-WAGON. It has a 10-foot wide blade and only two non-stock holes had to be drilled in the frame rails to mount the entire assembly.

I believe the truck from the scene in Georgetown has since been sold yet again to another new owner.

Did I miss anything Lloyd?

Clint
