As kieth says, its the size of the shear pin. When I was getting information on using hydraulic power for the MU-2 on my Carryall, I called Braden. I was lucky to get a old engineer who was there when MU-2's were being made. He told me that Braden never made anything but the 7500# version. And that truck builders and after market people would re drill the shear pin hole to 5/16" and rate it at 10,000#
