B1PW muffler install

I am going back with an original style muffler and am having interference between the tailpipe and the transfercase/middle crossmember. I am thinking this is because the muffler is to far back. The rear outlet of the muffler is only about 1/4" forward of the middle crossmember. If it was a little further forward things would fit better, but the muffler lines up well with the hangers.
