It could be something as simple as re routing the plug wires. It could be a bad plug or a bad wire.

Its been my experience on an O2 sensor it will throw out an O2 code. As all that is behind the spark plugs. All those sensors do it monitor the exhaust for oxygen and then adjust the engine accordingly. It also adjusts the engine at certain times to run differently to burn out the crud in the cat. If the sensor is bad it can throw the PCM into the faul safe mode and run at a certain setting which could cause a miss fire. You could test the O2 sensor and others with a voltmeter instead of going out and buying a bunch of new sensors you dont need.
