Anyway you go the 230 can handle the lower gearing with the 4.89's producing the least wear on the drivetrain. Installing 4.89 does require changing your TC's 4 teeth speedometer gear to a 5 teeth. You can expect increase in MPG and having to shift sooner on grades.
