In the Service Manual it states that:
The normal operating temperture of the transfer case is high, therefore the unit should not be considered overheated unless abnormal noise or lubricant leakage past the seals develops.
Probable Cause
1. Lubricant level too high or too low.
2. Bearings adjusted too tight.
So, should I be worried?
