I found someone selling a 1949 Civilian Power Wagon with a utility body on it. The truck is very solid, has a front winch and about 30,000 miles on it. The utility body has a heavy duty frame that is welded to the truck’s frame with a gap of about 3 feet between the rear of the cab and the front of the utility box. The truck didn’t seem to be worth the asking price.

The rear of the utility box extends about 2 feet past the end of the truck. The truck looks completely unbalanced. I looked under the rear of the utility box to see how/if they extended the truck’s frame rails. It was then that I saw the belt pulley. I crawled out from under the truck, opened the hood and saw the governor...I want this truck.

I would like to talk to someone about belt pulleys.
