Check your steering box of the truck is difficult to turn. Could be a problem there.
Its not a bad idea to start the truck once in a while during the winter, just to keep things lubed. Do as the other poster mentioned and fill the tank and use fuels stabilizer and some dry gas thrown in will keep moisture to a minimum.
BTW - I try to run my truck at least once every two weeks. It makes me feel better anyway.
