Dave, If you are thinking of the the one with the telephone box on it I knew the guy that built it and helped him from time to time. It had 20 inch wheels on it made from Ford AA centers and 2 &1/2 ton rims. The ebay add said it had 8x20 tires, but when he built it it had new 7.50x20 m-s, they looked like they were same one's in the pics. The 7.50x20's are the same heigth as 9.00x16's just narrower and much lighter, which was way he used them.He also had put a chevy 350 and 4 speed in the truck. With the stock gearing (4.98) it ran well. It was his daily driver around So. Cal. with some light off road.
I am running a stock flathead 6,4.98's and 9.00x16's on PW rims on my 1/2 ton. I would not want any taller tire with out more power. It runs good on the flats and around town but just look at a hill and your in third gear, off road is mostly in 1st. and with no low range don't even look at the real though stuff. Also remember the stock 1/2 axles, bearings and steering parts are not near as strong as the later Power Wagons's or Dana's I have a few pics. taken back in the late 90's I will email tonight if and can find them.
