It most likely has rust in the joints. Also make sure that you have gotten all the screws out inclutding in the center. Add lots of penetrating oil at the side seams and at the center seams. Let it sit and resoak it with more oil. Then get a rubber mallet and start taping the top and bottom parts of the frame to try to break it loose. You can also use a little heat at the seams to pop the rust loose. If the glass cracks so what, it will still be usable as a pattern.
