Okay, who's the clown that actually allowed a lawyer to own M-37's?

But seriously, Joe, a FRIEND of mine is a lawyer. I thought it was lawyers that ticked me off, but after talking to him at length I found out the truth: it's the 'Good Old Boy Network' that is the real problem!

A lawyer has to operate within given parameters of the law, but the next thing you know a judge corrupts the system by giving a break to his lodge buddy, or interpreting a law beyond his judicial right of interpretation, or making a basically illegal decision! Also we see a crooked lawyer come along and cut a questionable deal and then he gives all lawyers a bad rap.

To me it's the 'System' that stinks, and not the lawyers or legal profession as a whole. My buddy spent several hard years earning his law dregree, at an age far beyond most guys, because he wanted to help those who need help. He ran right square into the face of the 'System' and found out he was up against something bigger than his own logic, skills, ethics, morals and decency.

He got shut out of the system locally there, so he relocated to try again: same story, because he was bucking the system! He lost everything, including his house, trying to help others fairly and honestly, as a reputable lawyer. He is one darned good lawyer, in one darned lousy 'System'!

Last shot: why don't the politicos answer the questions? Because they don't HAVE TO! That's the 'System' we the citizens have allowed: Politicians are not required to be accountable.
