Thanks, I should known better than to describe it as chrome, Sorry.

I've found the bearing on e-Bay for $4.55 and $3.85 shipping, so I might as well replace it for that price.

As for the adjustment, I don't know witch piece you are referring too as a retainer? I can get the bearing (17) and Spacer (76) out, and either don't have, or there are behind the spacer the shims(22). When I hold the bearing in place tightly, the play is gone. I will install the yoke with out the seal and see if it will tighten down to keep the play gone out of it.

I suspect part of my seal/leak and perhaps even bearing pitting problem is from the fact that the yoke retaining bolt (1) was finger loose (No tools required to remove), only the cotter key holding it on. This allowed the yoke to wobble and take out the seal, and perhaps even hammer the bearing rollers.
