That 1944 GMC is probably a 1944 1 1/2 ton Chevy. GMC went to open cabs in the spring of 1943.Also GMCs were three axle drive trucks,Chevys were 4x4s.
That truck in stock military form with a steel GI bed weighs around 7,000 lbs.With all that fire equipment and bed probably 10,000+.
Good luck,and don't cut corners so to speak, use the proper rig to haul it.
