Reducing 24 volt to 12volt on ignition system

Is there a simple way to reduice the voltage on an M37 from 24volt to 12 volt for the ignition system, or does any body have a 12volt starter that will fit an m37 with or without a starter cylinoid, so I would be able to run on just one battery? Thanks!!!!!!!!!! Doug Boeve
