Dan we have an '01 2500 we bought used two years ago and it is experiencing the same problem. We took it to a Cummins dealer after it had been to a Dodge dealer(who couldn't figure it out) and they steamed off. They then ran it on their chassis dyno only to find so much blowby it was blowing oil out the front seal!!! They couldn't tell how much crankpressure because it because it is so bad. The only cure is a remaned engine or an overhaul, the truck has 118K miles on it and it's our 4th Cummins truck and the only one with this problem. We thought it was the same thing you do but it's the blowby of the cylinders. We were qouted 5-7 grand for replacement hope yours isn't the same way and you under 100K for warranty.
