There were two WWII era planes that have crashed in Yellowstone Park. The subject came up while sitting with some old friends. One guy(who in now dead) said " I shouldn't say anything, but I know a guy that packed out one of the .50 cals." We thought "holy crap" we sure wouldn't want to get caught by the Feds on that one. The closer of the two wreak sites were burned over by the Yellowstone fires, so the Feds spent a lot of our hard earned tax dollars air lifting the debris and cleaning up the area so the bear and wolves would not be endangered.
