we just traded in our 96 Ram 1500 Ext Cab 4x4, 5 spd., 5.2L (318)

The truck was reliable, would tow a flatfender, and got 20 MPG empty. It had 137K miles, and I only replaced the water pump, and O2 sensors and catalytic converter.

We too traded for a Ford Crew Cab, an F350 4x4 V10, wife misses the fuel mileage, kids like it better, and we feel safer to tow with it. 13-16 mpg.
