He's not kidding. I looked into rebuilding a loca poly 270 for my M37!! It needed rebuilt. They are very very expensive engines to rebuild! You may not need to replace the valve seats depending on the head design. Some years did not have replaceable valve seats and some truck seats were harder, which work fine on today's gas.
