I will be going this Sat. to look at a USMC PW civilian type 1 ton that has the International M-2 bed on it. I saw one at the Hollister meet this year but I did not get any photos of it or get the name of the owner. This truck is not the same truck but I am assured that it is a USMC from paint and markings. Having seen one before and knowing the character of the Marine that will show it to me I believe it to be true. I would like to make contact with the fellow who brought the USMC truck to Hollister if your on the forum please.
Is there anyone here on this forum that can shed some light on the subject. What years were these trucks, where did they go and the units that may have used them. Were these ordered as cab chassis only and the M-2 beds added or were the beds a later addition? Does anyone have any original or current photos or any other information that would be helpful in my research into these trucks?
Wish me luck on my expedition and purchase. I will post photos when I get back.
