Don, about that Ford 4-wheel-drive conversion tractor. It looks like it may be an overriding clutch between the driveshaft and differential housing. If so, it would allow the front wheels to turn faster than the rears during tight turns. I am trying to invision how this would work in reverse though. Typically, an overriding clutch only works in one direction. In reverse, it would only ratchet with no power being applied to the front wheels, unless it is a unit that acts like a locking differential. I have seen one of these Ford conversions. I can not think offhand what the name of the company was who built these.

My favorite "Dodge" tractor is the Custom Model B, AKA: Lehr Big Boy and/or Wards. They used the Dodge L-head engine, 5-speed truck transmission, and big Dodge truck rear axle (Timken I believe).
