...I found this information in a Don Bunn book I hadn't read for a while...Car slant 6 motors were painted red. Truck /6 motors were painted silver with tourquoise valve covers in 1960 and '61. Truck /6 painted yellow from '63 to '69, from 1970 to 1980 ALL /6 were painted blue, whether car or truck.
