..isn't that a soap opera??? ha!ha!
OK, Eric, here goes...
Are the S.O.NO.'s in sequence? If so, he has a 1964 or later, as my 1964 is 10629283.
Going by the S.O. NO., you just saw your first NP420 in a 64-65.
Potatoe, Patatoe...the "heavy half" became a W200 after you ordered the W200 axles on the W100, but Dodge still called it a W100, and that's what it is. (the only sigificant difference is that some W200 shorties had a Sweptline bed, in lieu of the Utiline, but for practicle purposes, only the '100' on the tag made it different than the W200. Sometime around the late 60's model years the 100's were given 5 lug axles as even Dodge couldn't figure it out anymore...ha!ha! PS; never say "never" with Dodge, the shorties are out there...somewhere with those two 426 Hemi powered CSS trucks....
My 1964 has a silver button horn, but every "NOS" horn button that I have seen is red. My W200 is a 'late run', sometime after June of 1964, the engine "born-on-date" is May 20th, 1964. (sorry, the motor is at my shop so I don't have the casting number handy for you)

Block number thoughts...That number didn't show as a valid number in my book, because it is a 1966, CAR number, trucks stopped at 2463 230-1 as a 170 block. The 170 was only installed in A-100's and 1961 D100's. After that, only -2 225's were used in the trucks, as a -1, it must be a transplant.
Thanks for the post, that was kind of neat Inspector Clueso. = )
