I used a Cummins 4BTA, NV-4500 married to a NP-205 in my Carryall. Before you embark on such a project, be aware its very costly, most everything has to be fab'ed. If you have nothing, ie no 4B Series Engine, no nv-4500 and no NP-205, you can figure at least $8000.00 before you go on a test ride. The results are very rewarding in performance as Cabell notes. Follow the link below to my image event site and look at the Carryall album. Dont forget in such a upgrade, you really should consider a complete brake system up grade to power disks, power steering etc. In my opinion its all safety related and part of such a conversion. Also look at the Hydroboost album for ideas on a power booster for your brakes.
