Does an M-37 have two different axle lengths like a civilian PW? My '53 Flatfender came with a spare (long) axle shaft & the firehouse mech claimed they were likely to twist under a heavy load (300 gallons of water, firefighting gear for 4, pump, & 6 firefighters) while knocking through the brush. Otherwise the drive train was sufficient.
