I had something similar when I rebuilt my engine. I had all of the machine shop work done, and they installed the valves. After I got it all assembled and installed into the truck, it wouldnt start. Turned out they had installed the valves but did NO adjustment at all. Maybe this is standard practice, but they should at least tell you that. It would have been a whole lot easier for me to have adjusted them while the engine was on its stand than working under the manifold. Oh well. And you are right, you do meet alot of great people wiht these trucks.
