My father was towing his brand new car behind his motorhome, has never been off pavement, and the passengers front tire, a Michelin, blew up so bad that it destroyed the fender, hood and bra. Almost the entire tread came off and flogged the car to pieces.
Fortunately, the car dealer (actually one across country from where he bought the car) warrantied the entire thing - hood, fender, tire, no questions asked. There is some service and pride left after all.
