Yep, it sounds like a civilian cab. I have one too. There should also be a serial number on that door plate you mentioned. Then there should be a bunch of numbers on the frame on the left side, visible just forward of the left front tire. Probably should start with an 8.... The engine number should be stamped into a pad on the left side, on the upper area near the corner, should probably start with T something...
