There's a story about a young bull, an old bull, a fence, and some cows... I won't do any bull brags, but I am old. I would jack up the rear axle so both wheels can turn FREELY (this assumes no brake shoe drag) put a chalk mark on the drive shaft and one on the inside of each of the rear wheels so you can see that they are turning evenly. (Yes, inside - you will be under the truck when you do this.) I would turn the driveshaft by hand and count the revolutions needed to turn the wheels one complete turn. This is exact enough to see which one you have - 4.89 is just under 5 turns and 5.83 is almost six. Ahh, if only I were young and had a wrench - or even a wench.
