You can also get the M37 manuals from Military Media on CD-ROM for $19.95 in PDF format that runs via Adobe Acrobat Reader (included on the CD) and this set will work on Win 95, 98, Mac, OS/2 and I think linux or unix.

Vintage Power Wagons also has a CD-ROM for $89. I've been loaned one for review and am still going through it. It is radically different from the Military Media CD in format and the contents are different. I'll post a report later.

Yes, the 'cheap' Superwinch hubs have a reputation for breaking. They have a lifetime warrranty (I understand). Someone else makes a set that runs about $250+ that is supposed to be unbreakable. If you do run the Superwinch hubs, just carry the original non-locking hubs with you so that if you break on you can swap your original back on.

You may have a badly worn set of gears in your transfer case. Someone posted a transfer case and transmission in California further down for $150. It would be worthwhile to motor freight them to you as spares. You can cause serious damage to the transfer case w/o proper fluid levels, and because it isn't easy to check, many former owners may have ignored it.

If original, your truck is 24v. You can save money by converting the lights over to 12v and centertapping the batteries. Howevr, I would not convert anything else over to this center tappe arrangement because too much load unbalances the batteries and causes problems. Lights are about the limit.

There are several sources for brak parts. Vintage Power Wagons is your one-stop shopping center. They cost a bit more. On the other hand, they know more and have nearly everything in stock. NAPA has many parts, but is spotty on help. My local NAPA has their heads up their rear on older vehicles; others here have had good support and luck from theirs.
