If you're not already sick of the whole thread, here's some more info and numbers to play with.

The cab has never been painted OD, only dark green. The cowl IS flat. At some point in time it had the lights on the side for the turn signals. It has the single wiper on the driver's side. The doors have the metal ridge. The remains of the T-bar are there, with no side-slide brackets to be seen. The glovebox hinges have the remnants of a fiber liner.
Now for some more info. On the doors someone long ago painted by hand: EW 3300 and below that LW.5000 might these be weights more suited to a non-military truck? This thing weighed in at 4160lbs a few days ago on a scale. On the passenger side, there is a slight outline of what looks like one of those big older fenders like the VC series have. There is the remnants of OD and a yellowish color (probably faded OD) on the hood, fenders and blackout lights.

The engine is number T215-17277, the frame has room for a winch and has number 1513929 on it.

Now for the bed. On the tailgate I can make out U.S.A. on the driver's side, and 2649 on the passenger side, done with a stencil, not by hand. The sides of the bed have holes and rusty smooth headed bolts in them, like perhaps some bench seats were bolted to them. I can make out the word PAYLOAD stenciled in white above and to the rear of the fenders. Farther rearward on both sides is a stenciled white star made with two squares, with the center not painted white. It has the fuel filler on the driver's side.

And that's all for this post!

Thanks again!

vince
