You spent the money on the welder, but did you buy the appropriate safety equipment ? the glass lenses and shields they suply with a MIG are, errr, not too good. After several sleepless nights rubbing my eyes I bough the full welding helmet with the glass screen that darkens automatically via a photocell - it cost almost as much as the welder, but it made more of an improvement to my welding than some of the classes I took.......
