While we're at it. I bought my first PW when I was 17 and there was a place in town that had surplus truck parts for sale with lots of Dodge. I believe it was called American Truck Parts, but it's been a while. Anyhow, I could go in there and talk to the old guys who were excited that this teenager was working on an old Dodge and they could produce NOS parts like springs, knuckle bushings, shims, a drag link and who knows what else. It was cheep and they were happy to do it. At some point, probably durring the early '80s Barstow bought them out and they sent their Daughter of Daughter in law out to over see the take over process. Well she knew nothing about anything from what I can tell except how to speak and if she didn't know what it was i.e. it wasn't a jeep part, it was scrapped. All in all they took 5 or 6 large containers full of small parts to the scrapper. Too bad Dave didn't get there first. People would be complaining about the price but at least they could buy it. Buy the way anybody know what happened to Itsy and Pueblo Pueblo Auto Parts? Now there was a fun place.
