Next thing that I would do is to disconnect the rod going from the left to right wheel. Then I would move each tire (knuckle) and watch how much movement in the left and right direction it has. This will tell which knuckle is having problems or if it is the rod or joints that connect the two knuckles. By chance is the rod hitting the differential housing. If I remember it might have a couple of bends in it to get around the diff. I know that the 3/4 ton WCs and PW have it but I can not remember what the 1/2 ton has.
Not quite time to disassemble.
