back when these trucks were being sold new I'd guess that the 2 ratios were all that was needed, how fast do you want to go on a gravel road in the 40s and 50s?
someone would have to build tooling to make new gears for these rearends now and with a very limited market who would want to spend $1000 to $2000 for a set of newly made gears.
