Air compressor unloader? Help please.

I would like to add some way to relieve the pressure line pressure to make start ups easier on the compressor motor while working on the PW.

If the pump head does not have this feature, can I add it by adding a check valve in the pressure line between the pump and shutoff switch and a bleed line to the switch to relive the pressure after the switch trips at pressure? The bleed line would be installed between the check valve and the pump.
