The spare tire carriers are different between the WC 3/4 ton and first series PW. The WC 3/4 ton carrier mounts on the driver's side frame rail where it angles in towards the engine, requiring the carrier mounting base to be angled from the its vertical shaft. The first series PW carrier mounts on the parallel frame rail behind the cab, which requires the carrier base be perpendicular to the vertical shaft. The two tire carriers are not interchangeable.
