A 318LA will bolt to the 318 Poly bell, the question is WHY? The 318 Poly breathes as good or better than the Hemi it was spawned from. It has a forged crank, it produces nearly 25 HP more than the 318 LA wedge and has the potential for 100's more. Parts are available for a rebuild.
If you are absolutely going to remove that motor, and you are in SoCal, I'll haul it away for you rather than see it go for scrap or to a landfill. It is the most underated of all Mopar Motors.
