Thanks for the words of encouragement! I know what you guys mean by the "numbers matching" crowd. I have collected guitars and old vacumn tube powered stereo equipment for the past 30 years. The guitar collector people flip out if even a solder joint is not original!! I guess I've developed the same mentality through the years of collecting this type of gear. I'll probably go through with the purchase although I'm not really happy with the item description on eBay. I have a problen with people describing things as original when they are not. Original to me means the way it came from the factory. Anyway, it sounds like I got a decent deal as it stands. I'll keep you posted.
