John, If you like the truck, don't be concerned about the engine number. T137's are a dime a dozen & 7 out of every 10 trucks have had the engine swapped.
Way too much emphasis is put on engine numbers in my opinion. When I go to a Mustang or a Corvette show I get a headache listening to the level of insanity.
Will it affect the resale on a mid year big block Corvette...yes. Will it affect the resale on a Power Wagon...No...& lets hope that never changes.
That's my opinion but I'm just not a numbers man.
I'd be more concerned about the upholstered interior etc but that's the beauty of owning your own truck...who cares what I think.
You are the only one that needs to love the truck & I'm sure if you look after it you can sell it for as much as you paid or maybe even more.
Have fun with it...that's the main thing!
Incidentally, my 1946 WDX had the wrong engine & it sold for $28,000!
