I have a capstan on a MU-2 but it's not the more common detatchable aluminum drum. It's a cast iron beast that must weigh 60lbs at least. The shape of the drum has more of a gentle curve with no flanges like the aluminum drums I've seen and the diameter is about 10". The drum shaft is about 10" longer than a standard MU-2 shaft and uses a pillow block bearing for support instead of another Braden shaft bracket. It would be a simple part to reproduce but making it out of aluminum would be much nicer. There would be some machining needed for the keyway and shaft bore then a guy would have to make a copy of the longer drum shaft. I've got the winch in pieces right now and will be swapping out the shaft on my truck to install the capstan this winter. If you need the shaft and drum to eyeball let me know.
