Yes, the question was answered while I was away, but yes, max vac. at idle, it helps if you have a tach or scope to set the idle at 500 rpm with a manual, 650 with a automatic. Adjust the carb to max vacuum then adjust the timing to max vacuum at idle. As stated before you may have to back off a tad to keep the starter from being overworked, when the motor is hot. Adjusting for maximum vacuum will allow the motor to run at the most efficient setting for torque and hp, regardless of the cam/carb/header combo, or if stock. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how well a motor runs when set up that way.
